Ten Middle Tennessee Kroger stores will host a simultaneous "Titans Ticket Party" Saturday.

'Big Dam Party' planned to celebrate Barker Dam's 100th birthday
On Aug. 4, 1910, the Central Colorado Power Company flipped the switch on its new hydroelectric plant in Boulder Canyon, which was made possible by the construction of the Barker Dam just east of Nederland. A century later, the Boulder History Museum has organized a "Big Dam Party" at the dam Wednesday to celebrate its importance.
